Sara Fortunato, PTA, CLT, LMT
Sara joined The Office of Christine F. Hayes, PT, PC, located in Chester County, in 2007 as a massage therapist and physical therapy aide. After practicing massage therapy and learning extensive exercise techniques and anatomy as an aide, Sara was inspired to complete the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Harcum College in Bryn Mawr. In May of 2012, Sara received her Associate in Science Degree and her Professional Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Since graduation, Sara has gained her Indirect Supervision License as a PTA after a required 2000 hours in the field which enables her to treat patients without the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist.
Sara completed her certification for upper extremity and truncal lymphedema in February of 2013 under Guenter Klose (Klose School of Lymphedema). She completed her lymphatic training in January of 2017 with emphasis in lower extremity certification, lipedema, and edematous taping techniques. Sara combines a variety of manual techniques including soft tissue/deep tissue, scar release, joint range of motion, and myofascial release in every session and enjoys working with the orthopedic and oncology population.
