Christine graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. Since that time, Chris has practiced in a variety of settings to include acute care, orthopedics, sports medicine, home care and private practice. She opened The Office of Christine F. Hayes, PT, PC in Chester County in June 1999, now known as Hayes Physical Therapy, She has been a practicing physical therapist for 38 years working on the Main Line of Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery and Chester Counties.
Chris is also graduated from The Barbara Brennan School of Healing, a 4-year internationally renowned healing program. Chris’ extensive training in Brennan Healing Science, an energetic mind-body and spiritual approach to healing, compliments her work as a physical therapist. This extensive healing approach allows Chris to offer her patients the unique ability to integrate both a traditional and complementary approach to healing in her physical therapy practice and integrated healing center.
Chris holds Certifications in Active Release Techniques for the spine (ART), Myofascial Release (MFR), Total Motion Release (TMR), Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT) for the lumbar spine & Upper Extremity , Certified SFMA for functional movement screening, TPI Certified (Titleist Performance Institute Medical Certification) and K-Vest Certified for Golf Swing Analysis, Level 1 and 2 Neufit-Neubie Certifications, Heart Rate Variability Certified and more.
Professional Affiliations
Chris is an active member of The Private Practice Section, Orthopedic Section and Oncology Section of The American Physical Therapy Association. She is also a member of The Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Section of the APTA.
Mentoring
Chris loves to mentor her new staff, especially the newer graduates with her knowledge base and many years of experience so that her entire staff brings the highest level of excellence to all our patients. It is not uncommon for her to co-treat some of our trickier patients with other team members from time0 to time, to offer insight and hands-on techniques for those patients. She also loves learning from her younger staff, who bring the most up-to-date level of evidence-based research to the practice.
For Fun: Chris is an avid skier, loves anything outdoors and is looking forward to the day she can share her golf handicap!!
