Sarah is a licensed physical therapist who earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in 2023. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry at Colgate University in Hamilton, NY in 2018 and spent the next 3 years working as a biomedical researcher to develop new therapeutics for a diverse array of diseases, from melanoma to epilepsy. Inspired by her own experiences as a patient and fueled by a need to make a tangible difference in the lives of those around her, she decided to leave the lab to become a physical therapist.
To conclude her graduate work, Sarah volunteered with Hillside Healthcare International in Belize, working alongside an interdisciplinary team of medical professionals to provide outpatient and home health services to the local community. At the request of a local adolescent soccer player, she collaborated with fellow volunteers and organization staff to produce an instructional dynamic warm-up video, which was shared with local teams and published on YouTube.
From shoulder injuries, neck and low back pain to concussions, vertigo and balance disorders, Sarah is well-versed in treating a wide variety of orthopedic and vestibular conditions. No matter the diagnosis, she is passionate about empowering patients to maximize their quality of life by pushing the limits of human performance. At Hayes Physical Therapy, she is doing exactly this by blending precise manual techniques with research-based exercise progressions and advanced healing technologies, namely the NeuBie to optimize neurological signaling and the Diowave Class IV Laser to facilitate healing on a cellular level.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys hiking through the woods and exploring snow-covered trails in the Adirondacks. She also enjoys training kung fu and practicing the ancient breathing art of qi gong.
